I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer on 13th January 2013, I had the cancerous tumour removed alongwith 3 lymph glands, 1 that was cancerous so the cancer was trying to spread in my body. It was the most frightening time thinking "has it spread into my organs" "how long will I have to live", I had to wait 3 weeks for another operation to remove all my lymph glands (21 in total removed from left underarm) Fortunately no more cancerous cells were found which was the best outcome I could've wished for. "The cancer hadn't spread,I could tell my son all will be ok i wasn't going to die!" Despite no more cancer, the specialists advised me i should go through the 18 week chemotherapy course mainly for future prevention as they could not guarantee there was not a cancerous cell that had maybe not been removed (that chance was very slim) but this is my life, i have a child who is my world and I wont take any chances to give cancer an opportunity to ruin my life again. I did not hesitate to agree with my oncologist that I would do it followed by 4 weeks of radiotherapy. Its only 6 months out of my life. I know all about the side effects and the truth is being told I would lose my hair quickly devastated me because i felt my identity was being taken away. I've managed to turn my negative thoughts into positive ones by looking at wigs for myself, and have seen some beautiful ones. The nicest ones were made of real hair but very expensive and that is why i want to donate my hair to the Little Princess Trust who make wigs for children who have lost their own hair through chemptherapy and other illnesses for free, but the wigs themselves to cost money make. So that is why i have set this page up to help towards the cost of making the wigs. I'd never thought about doing this until i decided that instead of waiting on my own hair falling out in clumps which would definitely distress me and it would be too late for me donate any, so decided I will get it cut whilst still in good condition and make maybe not just 1 but 2 children happy.

Good things can always come out of bad things.

Any donation would be much appreciated.

Thank you x
