Trae has decided to try and raise money and spread awareness for kidney research uk. Keelan and Trae; uncle and nephew are two peas in a pod and usually this pair would be out together, bike riding, jogging, swimming, boxing, football, you name it they do it. However Keelan has recently been admitted to hospital and is undergoing dialysis treatment after learning that his kidneys are failing. Keelan’s Doctors have said he will most likely need a kidney transplant but currently waiting on the results of his biopsy to confirm the cause of the kidney failure. It has come as a shock to Keelan and the family, as a fit healthy 27 year old, you don’t expect your kidneys to be failing. Due to not being able to spend time with his uncle Trae has decided to use his spare time to try and run 50 miles throughout the month of May. Please see the link below to donate and help all the patients of kidney disease to live a better quality of life. Thank you.

Update, Keelan’s biopsy results showed a kidney disease called Membranoproliferative Glomerulonephritis (MPGN) . Keelan showed no symptoms and was very lucky the disease was found when it was, his kidneys are currently at 5% function and dialysis is keeping him alive until a suitable kidney is found for a transplant.
