Help Age UK Hertfordshire raise £20,000 to support local older people during these unprecedented times.

Story

Age UK Hertfordshire is the largest charity supporting older people in Hertfordshire. They are facing an unprecedented demand for their services, and want to make sure no older person is left unsupported or in hardship. This is a confusing time particularly for older people who have been self-isolating or who have been unable to or worried about going out. Many older people live alone, many are in ill health and many already find daily life a struggle. Age UK Hertfordshire need your help to ensure that they reach as many isolated older people as possible. They are having to change the way they deliver their services. Their day centres are closed and face to face contacts are being cut to help prevent the spread of the virus,  but this means endless empty days for many of their older clients. They are working to increase their Telephone befriending, their Telephone Emotional Support Service and have created food parcels and entertainment packs for older people who faced weeks or months of isolation.

I have seen first hand the demand for their services during lockdown, while working as a GP Link Worker.  Please help me support the work they are doing.
