Tracy's Wing Walk for ellenor

Wing Walk · 24 April 2019
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 24th April 2019 I will be strapped to the top of a plane (very tightly hopefully!) and fly for 10 minutes with climbs and zooms at speeds of up to 130mph! Images of a very chopsy dog with their head out of a car window spring to mind. Oh and rather large incontinence pads- Beautiful eh!
I will be doing this to raise funds for ellenor. ellenor is a hopsice based in Gravesend where I have the pleasure to work as a Palliative Care Nurse Specialist in the Hospice at Home Team.
Our mission is to lead and coordinate the best personalised care for all ages, sharing our expertise to ensure that all families facing terminal illness get the right support in the best place possible, enabling them to make the most of the time they have.
When people find out what I do, they often say that they couldn't do it and it must be very sad. I admit it can be tough at times, but being able to help and support patients and their loved ones at the worst time imaginable far outweighs the tough times.
ellenor support people from the very young to the very old and provide services that help people live their lives rather than just prepare to die.
As a charity we need to raise £6.9 million every year to continue to give the help and support we currently give.
Please, please, please help me raise a small amount of these funds by sponsoring me to do this mad thing! Huge thanks in advance and please share this link and bully ( I mean ask) your friends and family to sponsor me too.
Oh - I hope to film the experience but if there is sound it may have to be bleeped out more than not ha ha ha.
Tracy xx
