NEWS FLASH!!! NEWS FLASH!!! I HAVE EXCEEDED MY TARGET BY...........£ 500  THANK YOU SO MUCH x

Hi everyone.........it's me again!!!!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As you probably already know, I am running the Virgin London Marathon in April, for Cornwall Hospice Care.

This is an amazing charity which survives primarily on public donations and is not government funded. They need 5.3 million pounds each year, to keep giving the support and care that is so vital in this area.

After a brilliant start last spring, my training is now back on track after having 8 weeks off due to illness!!!!

I have joined Falmouth Road Runners and they have been a great support with training. I have run some races with them and I am out 3 times a week getting some miles in.....even in the heavy rain, wind and ice!

*** I have now got a posh new training plan (thanks Jane and Mick) and  I am out 5 times a week!!

***Did the Mounts Bay 10K yesterday in just under an hour, really chuffed!! Woo! Hoo!

***12 miles this Sunday - Plymouth 10miles on 21st - Bideford Half marathon on March 7th. I am loving it!

Charity Shop Bop on Friday 12th - will keep you posted with money raised.

Well, once again, you have done brilliantly for me..............£571.11 in total at the Charity Shop Bop!!!!! Huge thanks to you all.

22.2.10 - I took part in the Plymouth 10 mile race yesterday and only took 1 hour and 35 mins......really pleased - aching today though! :-)

I am up to 12 miles on my long runs now and looking forward to Bideford, I think. I plan to do 15 miles with my son, Matt, this weekend - watch out Bissoe trail! (change of plan...my son is away so it's my husband on his bike!)

Did 16 miles on the Bissoe trail...with Stu on the bike beside me, shouting encouragement all the way (thanks hon).......2 hours and 52 mins....felt quite tired at the end though!!

Bideford Half Marathon....Woo! Hoo! All done in 2  hours and 8 minutes....felt fantastic at the end, even managed a sprint finish.......what a beautiful route, all around the Tarka Trail, stunning with lovely weather to boot.

Bring on the big one now...only 7 weeks till London!

Only managed 6 miles on the treadmill this weekend, due to another chest infection! Better than nothing though :-)

16 - 18 planned for this weekend, depending on fitness.

10 1/2 miles in Helston on 28th March, cross country to Porthleven.....then the following week the last big push.....20 miles on the Bissoe Trail again.

Oh dear...another infection and antibiotics for 3 weeks.

Never mind...back on the road 6th April and ran with the club, was pleased to know I still remember how to run!!!

Sunday 11th and did 11miles along the Bissoe Trail...felt great, if not a bit warm.

11 days to go...and feeling good, I think. Taking on my nemesis on Thursday morning.....Symons Hill!!!

Yey, I managed THE hill, it was very hot but I did it!!!!

My last big training run was on Sunday.......did 8 miles along the Bissoe trail.......wearing my hat, bum bag and my drinks bottle.....felt very good, slightly swollen knees though!! :-(

Tuesday 19th April....That's it now....last run before the big day......felt like a bad lesson before your driving test!!!

Just sewn my sunflowers on my hat and bought my vaseline, blister plasters and munchies for the day!!

All set.....wish me luck.

I have pledged to raise a minimum of £1,500 and I know that with your support this will be possible. (See NEW FLASH above)

I have nearly raised the money I need, after holding many events, car boots and selling jewellery. Thanks to everyone that came to my Spooky Do.

I hope to see you at  my next fundraising event ALSO if you see me out and about running, give me a toot - I need all the encouragement I can get!!!
