Once again I am taking part in the Sheffield Half Marathon and will be raising money for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).  MND is a horrible disease that cruelly took my sister from me in 2008.  From that first diagnosis there is no hope because there is no cure.  Sorry to be so blunt but that's what MND does - it hits you where it hurts and it hits you hard.  However, every time someone like me takes part in an event such as this we edge one tiny step closer to finding a cure so please spare whatever you can to make this happen.
