Story
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.
Am I crazy? Probably.
Did I say after the 2017 Marathon "Never Again!" Definitely!
I just feel like I have one more marathon in me...and then, after a promise to my Mum who is about an inch away from disowning me, I will hang up the running trainers (kind of!) and focus on smaller runs...honestly! Maximum 5k or 5 miles... maybe 10k or 10 miles....or the odd Half Marathon...!!
So why CALM you ask?
The reason I chose this Charity is my best friend’s brother took his own life nearly 2 years ago and seeing first-hand the devastation suicide has on a family was and still is truly heartbreaking. What do you say to a sister who has lost her only brother, a mother and father who have lost their only son…words can’t describe the emptiness felt by all and the helplessness of someone wanting so much to help but not finding the words or actions to make any kind of difference? So, in memory of Richard Bailey, I will hopefully raise a few quid to help this charity continue to help people across the country #keeptalking
