Julian & I both suffer from Crohns and colitis respectively.   They are inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) for which there is no known cure.

Around 1 in 250 people develop these painful and unpredictable conditions, and the impact on every day life can be devasting for some.

Crohn's & Colitis UK do a great job supporting those affected and their families, providing helplines, booklets and information sheets.  They have funded more than £4million into the medical, social and psychological aspects of IBD, and into finding a cure. 

Just £3 would pay for someone to receive an information pack at the time they are first diagnosed and most in need of information.

Julian and I are lucky enough to be able to live 'normal' lives. (If you know us you may disagree!!)  And this seemed more of a challenge than the 5 mile walks we have done in the past!! Especially as my bike is about 15 years old!
