Story
I have been really fortunate thus year to get a club place for the London Marathon with my wonderful club NWR.
Those close to me will know my daughter was gravely ill a few years back and is a sepsis survivor. Those weeks were the worst of my life but I am blessed that things turned out ok.
London will be the biggest challenge I have faced so far. I have done lots of running, but this is my first, and probably last full marathon.
I thought it would be good to try and raise some money for the Sepsis Trust, so that more people can be educated and aware of the signs and symptoms. We were extremely lucky but unfortunately, many others can't say the same.
I know money is tight and we a have our own priorities, but I would be super grateful if you could spare a penny or two for my cause. Whatever you can give is much appreciated.
Fundraising is at the heart of our fight against sepsis. It raises awareness, and sparks the question: “What is sepsis? In this way, fundraising can help prevent thousands of deaths & unnecessary suffering through knowledge & awareness of the symptoms. It also funds our vital support work, Public Awareness, Educating Health Professionals & helping people adjust to life after sepsis through accessing our Support Group network. We also lobby government to support our cause and makes vital changes in areas such as the NHS.
