Story
Around this time last year, Neil and I were fortunate enough to accompany a group of lower sixth form pupils from Cranleigh School on a life changing trip to Zambia. We got to see the huge difference that Beyond Ourselves make by providing education and literacy training to Zambian children. In order to raise funds to help this charity, whose life-changing work we got to experience first-hand, I have set myself the challenge of running 2000 miles (counted by Strava) by the end of the year. Not having been able to race for most of 2020 (for obvious reasons) combined with having had 6 weeks off following a little op at the beginning of the year and work being a bit busier than usual means that I will have to run an average of 8 miles a day every day in order to reach my target, if I take Christmas Day off. I’ve made my excuses and said I’m going to do it so there’s nothing left now but to get on and run.
Thank you for reading my waffle. I completely understand that times are hard at the moment but any pennies you could spare for the lovely folk at Beyond Ourselves would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance for your support, Tracy X
