Story
In 2018 I lost my beautiful Mum to oesophagus cancer. Her last few weeks were spent in Nottingham City Hospital at Hayward House. To our family, this hospice helped us more than you could ever dream of. As you can imagine, this was the worst time of our lives seeing my Mum suffer. The services on offer at Hayward House not only helped make my Mums last few weeks as comfortable as they could. They helped our whole family, and made us feel like it was our home and not a hospital. I will be turning 40 a few days after writing this, it got me thinking about ways I can challenge myself. I miss my Mum so much, and have been getting down knowing she isnt here to celebrate this milestone birthday with me. I have chosen to do my skydive on what would have been my Mums 60th birthday, Thursday 11th April 2024. I'm taking on Nottingham Hospitals Charity's skydive to raise funds to help provide added extras such as improved facilities, equipment, research and staff development so other families can spend their last days and weeks with their loved ones in a comfortable and beautiful place. By supporting this campaign.Every donation makes a huge difference so thank you!
