Story
In June 2021 I had a very bad motorbike accident which left me with no feeling from waist down and in hospital having to learn to sit up, use my wheelchair, stand up on my feet and to finally walk again...with sheer determination and a positive attitude I got there ❤️
I was on the phone to 999 for 40mins, the road ambulance crew couldn't find me as I was so far off the road in the trees.. then all of a sudden I saw the chopper above me and knew help would be there in minutes.
And as I thought and hoped the chopper crew were there in mins and dealt with me and my injuries just like that!!! They were brilliant, they made me laugh, cry and of course got my pain level under control, made me feel comfortable and kept me calm. They had me on the stretcher and in the chopper within mins, then flown into ARI quickly..
Without this service I could of been lying at my crash site for a very long time praying to be found 🙏.
They were absolutely amazing and I would love to give them a donation to say thank you so very much for the service they gave me.
I'm doing the 3.7 mile Kiltwalk with my 5 sons..
Some might think that's not very far, but to me it is as I've still got problems with my legs and knees after my accident... I can actually trip over my own feet and bending down is ok, it's the getting back up is a struggle lol....
So yeah a 3.7 mile walk is a huge achievement for me ❤️
