Story
The Clipper Race is a race for amateur sailors to sail around the world, broken down into 8 legs, with stopovers along the way to change crew. As a regular day regatta racer, I decided to try a different type of racing playground, and look forward pushing myself to new limits and expanding my sailing experience by doing long distance ocean racing. April 23, 2024, I will be heading to Seattle, WA and boarding the boat for 3 moths at sea as I participate in the final 2 legs of the race, racing from Seattle, WA, heading down the Pacific Ocean, going through the Panama Canal, and up the Atlantic Ocean to Washington, DC. Following a stopover in Washington, DC, we head out across the Atlantic Ocean, over the north side of Scotland, and back down to Portsmouth, UK.
UNICEF relies entirely on voluntary contributions and donations. Its life-saving work is only possible through the generosity of its fundraisers. With help from the Clipper Race, UNICEF can make sure more children get the support they need to grow up happy, healthy, and safe.
