Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

One day i had the great idea of running a race for charity.  I must have had a lot of sleep that night!!!  Anyway after converting my husband over to the cause we decided to run it for childline.  The fact we have two children ourselves made it a very worthwhile cause to us.

Myself and Roger are running the 10k in aid of the NSPCC(childline) on Sunday 6th September 2009.

Since childline's launch in 1986, counsellors have counselled over 2 million children and young people.  Whats more, they have saved lives, broken paedophile rings, found refuge for children on the streets and given hope to thousands of children who believed no one else cared for them.

Training is going vey well, you will probably see me and Roger out pounding the pavements around the North of the city, if you don't see us you'll probably hear us, around 4 miles is when the panting starts!!!

Please find it in your heart to donate to this very worthwhile cause and make the ache in my calves worth it!!!!!!

I also have sponsor sheets, so if you want to donate using cash please feel free to contact me and i will send one out to you.

Thank you

ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24 hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise, support and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. Children call ChildLine about a wide range of problems, but the most common problems are abuse (both sexual and physical), bullying, serious family tensions, worries about friends' welfare and teenage pregnancy. Children and young people can call ChildLine about anything – no problem is too big or too small. ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC
