Story
I have been privileged to work for Guild Care for the past 11 years, and am so proud of the amazing team that strive each and every day to provide the best possible care and support to so many people.
The past year has been so hard for so many charities and fundraising whatever amount you can, will truly make a difference to the ongoing support that Guild Care can provide.
Having loved every minute of the past 11 years (well most of it!) I have made the really tough decision to leave Guild Care to work for another charity, which is also very close to my heart. I will be leaving at the end of July and what better way to celebrate than jumping out of a plane!! I must be having a mid life crisis...........this is definitely going to be a one off event for me!
Please have a read of the information below to see just how much Guild Care do to support the Worthing Community and please donate as much as you possible can........with love, Tracey
Guild Care have been part of our local community for many years, and in 2018 we celebrated 85 years of charitable work helping people within Worthing and surrounding areas. Guild Care was established in 1933 as the Worthing Council of Social Service by a group of local philanthropists to support vulnerable local people in poverty with small grants and free legal advice. Over the years we have played a leading role in Worthing, setting up some of the towns most well-loved organisations such as Worthing Citizens Advice Bureau (one of the first in the country) and St Barnabas House Hospice. Our services are constantly evolving, and today we offer support in reducing loneliness in older people, delivering specialist dementia day care and care homes, and working with children and adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. These services also provide valuable respite breaks for carers. We also run domiciliary home care and a year round community and outreach programme.
