Story
I was inspired to run by a young lady named Sarah who at the age of 28 had a stroke and was wheelchair bound when I met her. By the end of her physiotherapy she was walking with crutches and challenging me to run the Birmingham half marathon with her. We both completed the race and I said “never again”. Since then I have continued to run and completed several 10k races.
Raising money for a treadmill at Moor Green Brain Injury Unit (Moseley Hall Hospital) will allow other patients achieve their goals like Sarah did. We need to raise around £2500, so every little will help.
Several of my colleagues (Kelly, Leona, Michelle & Leona) and my friend Sue have all joined my team to try and raise the total we need, please dig deep and help these clients achieve their goals to live a full life after brain injury.
