Event: Trek26 Brecon Beacons - 13 miles, on 2 July 2022
In memory of Fred Thomas
Journey through a spectacular area of wild moorland, tumbling waterfalls and sweeping mountain slopes in the Brecon Beacons. Trek for loved ones, and raise money so together we can find a cure.

Story

I am walking the Brecon Beacons trek 13 miles in memory  of my lovely dad Fred Thomas on the 2nd July..  During the latter years of his life he was  affected by Lewy Body Dementia.  We need to raise money to help fund research into this terrible disease so less people will need to suffer like he did.  If you can only give a pound as times are hard for everyone then that will be very much appreciated!   Anything I raise will potentially be matched £4£ by Barclays

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
