Tracey Jenkins is raising money for Martin House Hospice for Children and Young People
Story
John and I are going to embark upon what, for me, will be an epic challenge. We are cycling 127 miles from Liverpool to Leeds on the canal path, with 80 other riders, to raise funds for Martin House Children's Hospice in Boston Spa. The aim is to raise enough funds to cover the running costs for ONE day, namely £18,500. Can you imagine.... on-going fund raising on that scale, year in year out?
The ride will take place over 2 days.
For John, I imagine, such a jaunt is pretty run of the mill. However, for me, with my history of spinal and hip operations, the event will most certainly present a challenge. Yesterday I began my training regime and clocked up 8.5 miles. Hopefully I will be able to build on that....although time is short!
