In 2013 The Toy Appeal began & we provided toy sacks to 500 children, to date we have provided 32,000+ toy sacks to disadvantaged children in the UK. 2022 is our 10th anniversary and we've received requests for over 10,200 children already.

Story

The Toy Appeal have spent the last 10 years bringing together a crack team of volunteers creating toy sacks for disadvantaged children at Christmas. These are children living in poverty and/or who have lost their home, and whose names are provided by schools, children centres, churches and other community settings.

I met Dee at secondary school, so we have known each other for a number of years.  I, and my husband, have volunteered a number of times helping to make up the sacks and deliver them throughout the region, and on their 10th anniversary I am looking forward to helping them in a different way by raising sponsorship money.  A monetary donation at this time of year goes a long way to purchase a range of gifts, games, toys, books, sports equipment etc. that will be a solid start to the 2022 campaign.

About the charity

We provide Christmas Toy Sacks to under privileged children each year, who otherwise would have no presents to open on Christmas morning. Each child receives a red sack with their name on, made specific to their age & any special needs. Please help us Give a child a Christmas
