Project Zambia is a Belfast based social justice charity working to empower and support those living in abject poverty in Zambia. Founded over 15 years ago, Project Zambia has grown in size and recognition across Ireland.

Shane McGann and Sean McKeown hosted Tour De Crumlin on Sunday 16th April 2023 starting from the Fiddlers Inn.

"Tour De Crumlin was a charity spin-athon with a twist. With the help of The Fiddlers Inn Crumlin, The Little Gym Crumlin and Wee Toast Tours we're taking multiple party bike's on tour for the day! Supplied by Wee Toast Tours, we will be 'touring' on two party bikes for four hours - each 'tour' lasting one hour. We would love for people to get involved!

Qualified spin instructor, Danielle Tubridy to get us through the ride and with DJs Sean McKeown and Tony Walls on hand to supply the tunes through the bike rides. We hope to raise much needed funds for this amazing charity. Shane has been involved in the charity since school and has witnessed first hand where money goes. As part of Project Zambia's programme, both Sean and Shane will be going to Zambia in July 2023 to help (see more info below)."

Project Zambia works alongside and in partnership with some of the poorest and most marginalised communities in Zambia focusing on:

• Education through the provision of funds for the building of schools in communities in Zambia where access to school is limited due to cost/distance. 
• Clean water, sanitation and feeding programmes
• Supporting institutions such as orphanages and homes for street children
• Empowering communities through funding income generating projects and training of local people in practical skills
• We work to improve the quality of life of people including victims of HIV/AIDS, orphans, disabled children and homeless youth.
