Derian House Children's Hospice provides specialist care and respite to children and young people with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions. We cover the South of Cumbria, the entire of Lancashire and the North of Manchester. To provide our services in 2024 the cost to us stands at over £6m.

Story

Hi Everyone,

Thankyou for taking a look at our justgiving page on which we are collecting funds for Derian House Childrens Hospice based in Chorley Lancashire.

The Event:

To raise as much money as possible for Derian House Childrens Hospice we intend to cycle from Derian House in Chorley (Home) to Rome in Italy a journey that will take approximately 11 days and covering between 1250 and  1400 miles.

The Ride will take us from Chorley to Hull where we will travel to Belgium on the Ferry.

We will then cycle through Belgium, France into Switzerland and on to Italy passing over the Alps. The estimated height gain for the trip is approximately 20,000 feet (yet to be worked out).

Total distance is between 1250 and 1400 miles this is no easy ride and the we will have to be extremely fit.

The ride is to start on 13th August 2013.

So please give generously, you are not only helping to support us on our ride but also and more importantly the children who are cared for at Derian House.

Thanks for Supporting us

John and Ryan
