HERstay will provide accommodation for 16-24 year old girls who are pregnant, and experiencing domestic abuse. As well as a safe and secure home, we will help young women develop the skills they need to lead independent lives.

Story

Rising Sun Domestic Violence & Abuse Service supports women and children affected by domestic abuse in East Kent. The HERstay appeal provides accommodation for 16 to 24 year old girls from Kent who are pregnant and at risk of abuse, exploitation and homelessness.As well as a safe and secure home, HERstay will provide life changing support to local women and girls who are recovering from the impact of domestic abuse and help them develop the skills they need to lead independent lives and find long term homes for themselves and their children.

About the campaign

About the charity

Providing a safe future for survivors of domestic abuse in east Kent, with trauma-informed services for those in crisis & for those living with the effects of their trauma. Supporting survivors age 5+ through mentoring, counselling, groups, support accommodation, emergency safeguarding & drop-ins.
