Story
My inspiration for this challenge stems from one of my closest friends, Rachel. Rachel and I were both set to start Glasgow University together in September, alongside our close friend Erin, but a diagnosis of a malignant spinal tumour deterred her from this. Rachel's story is shared on her instagram and youtube and can be found by typing her full name 'Rachel Osborne' on those platforms. Anyone who knows Rachel will know she is nothing but inspirational, from her incredible inner strength to her bubbly spirit she just radiates a unique energy wherever she goes.
I am supporting this charity by challenging myself to 500,000 steps in March to help raise their profile and increase awareness. This works out as almost 237 miles. CLIC Sargent is the UK's leading children's' charity that helps children and young people face their cancer treatments and offers financial and emotional help to their families. This charity acts as life-line for families, helping them stay together during their child's treatment.
I am going to be tracking my daily steps and uploading a weekly photo of the steps i have done in that week on this page and my instagram story, every week until the end of March. If you know Glasgow, you will be aware it rains almost every day of the week so you can only imagine my excitement!
I really want to highlight that any donation at all wether it is £1 or £20 is immensely appreciated and I will be extremely grateful. Thank you all so much in advance.
