Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2012, my nan was diagnosed with Dementia with Lewy bodies. In such a short period of time she has lost her memory, mobility, independence and the ability to live in the home she had shared with my pap for most of her adult life. It has been truly heart-breaking to witness a loved one deteriorate so rapidly in front of our eyes as a result of a disease we knew very little about.

On Saturday 2nd August, I will be trekking 23miles over tough terrain along Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland in aid of the Alzheimer's Society and for my Nan.

The Alzheimer's Society are dedicated to defeating dementia through research into the cause, care and prevention of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease, to improve treatment for people today, and search for a cure tomorrow.

I know, in this day and age, many of us already give and do so much for various charities but any donation you could provide would be so gratefully received. It truly is a worthwhile cause.

Thanks again!
