Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Many people mark milestone birthdays by hosting a lavish party. I am one of those people who would run 100 miles not to be the centre of attention at a big event like that. In this case literally. My elder brother Ian was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2010 and over the last decade has done some amazing physical challenges. These include completing The Pennine Way long distance footpath and is part of a research project based in Newcastle. 100 miles in seven days finishing on my 60th birthday on 17th July is pretty inconsequential by comparison.
I plan to run as much of the route from Skipton to Penrith as possible - and it passes Ian’s front door, so it seems very appropriate.
Any support you can give will be greatly appreciated!
I would like to thank everyone who has donated anonymously or that I have not been able to identify to thank personally - I am so grateful for all your kindness.
