The inability to swallow means upto&nbsp;1 litre of saliva a day flows into the lungs. This can cause chest infections and Pneumonia. Dad fought 4 chest infections, slowly deteriorating over the 7 weeks. He had a healthy diet, didn't smoke and enjoyed life.A </span></em><em><span style="font-size: small;"><em><span style="font-size: small;">true gentleman, who enriched those he met with his kind gentle manner. He never had a bad word to say about anyone.
