Story
Well the body held together and I got round in a respectable 46 minutes 23 seconds. It was a nice day to run in although the wind was strong (especially 6-7kms when it was straight into your face). I only felt sick twice which wasn't too bad. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page and for all of the sponsorship, it kept me going and ensured I got a free banana from the Diabetes stand at the end of the run.
For the Powells - Photo of me in a Reading shirt to appear soon!
Thanks again.
Many of you will know that I was a very keen runner some 5 years ago. Then, just when you least expect it your body gives way, in my case my back. After 5 years of patience, frustration and latterly pilates I'm back - hopefully anyway. I've decided to have a go at the Manchester 10k and to provide a bit of impetus have signed up to run for Diabetes UK.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Diabetes UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
