By sponsoring me you will directly help some of the most disadvantaged people in the world - street children in Africa. These children are typically full of promise but live in real danger - but they are just children, like mine, but without the opportunities or luck to have been born in a wealthy country with support systems.

I have been a trustee of Street Child Africa for almost 3 years and it is a wonderful charity making a massive difference via some fantastic, dedicated local partners in sub Saharan Africa.  In a 3 year period we have helped our partners reach more than 55,000 children and vulnerable families. Imagine that. 55,000.  I am trying to raise a significant amount of money to give these children and vulnerable families the chance to have a future.  

All funds raised go a very long way in Africa.  Our partners share our passion for supporting the street children in their communities.  We work closely with them and ensure that every penny raised is verified and accounted for and ultimately, well spent.  I have covered all the costs of the trip and all sponsorship raised goes directly to Street Child Africa.

The last time I fund raised was in 1985 when I raised £184.  I implore you to BE AWESOME and support me and this fantastic charity.  I will need it as I am planning to cycle c3,000 kilometres in training and 500 kilometres off road through Zambia.

Please be as generous as you can possibly be and then add back the tax relief you will receive through your tax return if you are more than a basic rate taxpayer.  Every £1/£10/£100/£1000 makes a huge difference.
