Well we did it! All those hours of training were really put to the test!
The weather was kind to us and we had tremendous support from family and friends who met us at different points on the route and made all the difference when the going got tough.
Michael, as you know, was a competitor in the Mini London Marathon, which meant he had to race over the last three miles of the course. He managed to complete this in 20mins 22secs, which is the fastest time he has ever managed to run this distance and he was placed 76th out of over 180 runners.
I took a little longer with a finish time of 5hrs 6mins but then I did have a little further to run!
We both feel really proud that we took part in this year's Marathon but are even more proud of the amount of money that we have managed to raise. We never, in our wildest dreams, imagined this total would be possible so thank you to all of those people who have supported us.
The Stuart Strange Vasculitis Trust is a charity very close to our hearts as dad fought bravely for many years with Vasculitis. He was an inspiration to all of us and we miss him very much. We would have made him very proud today though.
