Hello and welcome to my fund raising page for the British Heart Foundation London to Brighton 2011 charity bike ride.
On June 19th I will be attempting to cycle the 54 miles, pedalling my way from the grass of Clapham Common to the pebbles of Brighton beach, something I have achieved once before, when I was young, fit and only 14 years of age, I’m now approaching 40 so it’ll be a personal goal as well as a way of raising as much money as I can for the British Heart Foundation who this year is 50 years old.
I starting training some 7 months ago, in the gym 3-4 times a week not knowing what I was really training for other than a personal goal to get fit and to be in the best shape of my life for my for my fast approaching 40th birthday. I then bought a new bike as I wanted to up my cardio training and having once been a keen cyclist I thought it would be a great way to back in shape, I now cycle to work (around 18 miles a day) and have decided as a personal achievement and to prove to myself that I’m not over the hill yet, I’m going to do the London to Brighton bike ride. So I’m asking you to dig deep into your pockets and please sponsor me to help support a well worthy charity (The British Heart Foundation) and help save lives.
