Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support

Brighton Marathon 2022 · 10 April 2022 ·
In April I will be running the Brighton Marathon. I’ll be doing this to raise money for Macmillan 💚
Macmillan are a charity who are there for people with all different types of cancers. They provide support, financial help, and care for people.
In general I’m quite a closed person, therefore sharing personal aspects of life and creating a fundraising page doesn’t feel natural. I mean, I don’t mind the odd insta post sharing a happy photo, but discussing cancer and asking people to donate is quite difficult for me. So I’ll be keeping this relatively brief -
I think in all walks of life, cancer has had an impact on us all.
My mum has battled and beaten cancer back in 2015. My mother in law too has battled and beaten cancer in the same year.
My father in law was diagnosed with cancer in February of last year, which has devastatingly turned out to be terminal.
A good friend of mine has lost his wife to cancer at a young age of 30.
I could carry on…
I guess what I’m trying to say cancer has, is, or will effect us all during our lives. Macmillan for me felt like the right cause to raise money for as it’ll be there for most of us one day, regardless of the type of cancer.
Thank you for taking the time to read my page, I would really appreciate any donation you may be able to do.
Thank you, Tony. 💚
