Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In less than two weeks on a hopefully 'mild' Sunday morning, I'll be running 26.2 miles in the London Marathon. I've always wanted to run the marathon and have managed to get my place through their balloting system.

Training has been going reasonably well. The picture is of me running the Miami Half Marathon, which I finished in 2hrs 1min at the end of January. Last week in 'slightly' cooler weather I ran 22 miles, which will be my furthest distance before the big day in 3hrs 20mins.

The charity I'm running for is Saint Francis Hospice, who are an independent charity caring for people with any life limiting illness in my local area (Brentwood, Havering, Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge). The majority of their funding is through donations, so any amount really does help. For more information on the charity please visit http://www.sfh.org.uk/

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
