Story
I'm doing the Great Scottish Run on 5th October.
My aim is to raise awareness of Sarcoma, which accounts for roughly 1% of all cancers in the UK.
Sarcoma isn't all that common, so GP's sometimes struggle to diagnose at an early stage. If caught early enough they are treatable.
My uncle Terry battled angiosarcoma (cancer) in his heart for 2 years with determination and dignity before he died in September 2013, so the money raised will be directed towards the Terry Allison Tribute Fund which aims to raise awareness of Sarcoma and help others battling the same disease.
