Story
There is a very sombre statistic about one in 4 pregnancies ending in miscarriage however this is an estimate with the true number being much higher but it does not include those babies who are stillborn, ectopic or terminated for medical reasons. There is a staggering amount of people who have experienced baby loss and i am one of them.
I have four children and two angel babies and i was given an aching arms bear which came with the name and date of another family's angel child, baby loss is a very isolating and lonely experience yet this bear was given by another family who knew the same heartache that i did. My bear was and is a tangible source of comfort, however aching arms dont just provide bears they also provide a support service through their supporting arms branch, provide bereavement training for health proffessionals and advocate for improvement in understanding babyloss bereavement in the workplace and in healthcare.
After charlie, noah and kezzy i lost two angels before having my double rainbow rosie-mae so i have named this my rainbow ride and my aching arms bear will be coming along for the journey attached to my bike somehow.
Raising £100 will provide 6 other families with a bear giving tangible support through the heartbreak of baby loss.
