Story
Dear all, following the death of my Sister, Patricia, from pancreatic cancer, 3 years ago, I decided to enter and complete the 5k 'Race for Life' in 2009. I was determined to run all the way and I began my training in earnest. I made it.
Now inspired by my love of running and to support my Step Son, who is also doing the Great North Run, I am about to attempt my very 1st Half Marathon on 18th Sept 2011. It seemed like a good idea at the time!
Training has begun, I am still daunted by the prospect, however, I am again hoping to run all the way, not sure how long it will take!
If you would like to sponsor me I would be very grateful.
Thank you.x
Well two weeks to go 'eek'!
Training going ok, hopefully going to do my last long run before the 18th tomorrow. I've managed 10 miles up to now, experts tell me that will get me through on the day, fingers crossed it will.

Managed 11 miles on Sunday, got soaking wet and against the wind, it surely can't be any harder on the day! Can it!?
Thanks everyone for your kind donations, really appreciated, great to see the fundraising total increasing.
Just want to do it now.
Thanks to all for your donations. I know there is a problem with leaving messages and names, sorry, I have told 'just giving' they are trying to fix it, don't let it put you off please! x

Made it!!!!! Whoo hoo!
What a fantastic day, I ran all the way round on 2 hours 22 mins, I am really happy with that, it was my aim to do it less than 2 and 1/2 hours. Position 24,999, not too bad out of 54,000.
The hardest bit for me was at mile 11 - 12, I decided it was never going to do it again! I am already going back on that, never say never!
Sore thighs because I'm not used to all the hills, other than that feeling fine, what's next?!
Thank you all sooooo much
T xx
PS for those of you who knows Pete you won't be surprised to know that after waiting over 2 hours in South Shields he managed to miss me coming in! Hence the poor piccy of me running at the end!
