#TeamMND - Brighton Marathon 2023
Fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease Association
Fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease Association
On the 2nd of April, I will be running the Brighton Marathon. After getting injured during my Marathon preparation last year, I have just completed the last long training run and I am ready to go (I think!)
I will be running to raise money and awareness of Motor Neurone Disease. Whilst the disease has not affected me, my family or my friends, I became aware of the disease via a number of high-profile rugby players whose lives have been affected and cut short. The cruel and debilitating nature of the disease and the lack of cure and insufficient funding has really moved me.
Therefore, I will be pushing myself to complete my first
marathon to raise funds for MNDA. As well as providing much-needed money for research, any donations will help motivate me to keep going when my short legs are screaming for me to stop.
Although there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help you achieve the best possible quality of life
Any support will go a long way! Thanks in advance!
Tom
