Myself and Thomas Gater are doing a sponsored trek in Sri Lanka in November to raise money for Marie Curie.
Unfortunately we are going through the pain of cancer with a close family member who is terminal.
Not only does the hospice help patients with their pain relief, their thoughts and feelings but they also help the family to deal with what is happening.
With the help of Marie Curie, patients are able to have much needed respite and if the patient wants, to be at home when the time comes with comfort and dignity.
The Marie Curie nurses are invaluable to both patients and their families so fundraising is vital to help them continue with their help and support.
