In April 2009 I'll be undertaking the trip of a lifetime - an 18 day trek up to Everest Base Camp, followed by a game of cricket on the Gorak Shep plateau - 5,165m above sea level.

This will not only break the world record for highest ever field sport match ever played, but hopefully raise over £250k for charity - to be split between The Lord's Taverners and The Himalayan Trust. I'm be undertaking a number of physical challenges to get myself in shape for the trip over the next few months, and not to mention attempting to rediscover what little cricketing skill I had back in the early '90s.
