Tom Simmons 2.6 Challenge

The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
For those of you who know me, you’ll know that running isn’t really my thing, I hate it. In fact, I currently don’t even own a pair of running trainers!!
Despite this, I’ve decided to take part in the 2.6 challenge for Velindre Cancer Centre NHS as they are an incredible charity and the staff do an amazing job with patients and their families.
For my challenge, I’m going to be running 2.6 miles a day for 10 days straight.
Velindre Charity funds over 20 NHS Clinical Nurse Specialists and also funds psychology and therapies that provides the support needed by NHS staff and patients at this difficult time.
The support and exceptional care of our NHS Specialist Nurses has never been more needed as they are dealing with the effects of cancer and a national emergency.
These services are needed during the pandemic and will be needed after. We need your help so that we can continue to fund these people and services that make such a difference to the NHS.
Please support me in this challenge, let’s get behind our NHS and show our appreciation
Thank you,
Tom.
