Story
At the start of the first lockdown, Tom decided to grow his hair for the Little Princess Trust. The Little Princess Trust promise that when a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, they'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity.
For hair to be used, it needs to be a minimum of 7 inches, and ideally over 12 inches long, so it's been a long time a-growing. And, on 10 November 2021 is the Great Cut, when all that lovely long hair becomes a donation towards a wig for a child recovering from cancer.
As well as the hair, we'd like to donate at least the cost of making the wig (£550).
But the Little Princess Trust also carries out research into the causes of childhood cancer. So if we were able to raise more: £1000 would buy new drugs for testing, £10,000 would be enough to measure the long-term effects of drugs on children, while £30,000 would help identify drugs which minimise side-effects on children.
Please visit www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help them give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers and receives no formal funding. Please help us to raise money for the Little Princess Trust so that they can help more families.
