Story
To mark his 85th Birthday, Grandad (Tom) has decided to raise money for St Thomas’ Hospital, by abseiling 160 feet off of the top of the hospital.
Unfortunately for us, he asked us if we would join him….
Grandad has spent all of his life working on the Thames so when Mum (Tracy) who works for St Thomas’, asked if anyone wanted to abseil off the top of the hospital, he decided it would be a great way to mark his 85th birthday and raise money for the NHS at the same time.
Unfortunately for us he asked if we would join him and you look a bit of a wuss saying no to things your 85 year old Grandad is up for…!
So, six of us will be abseiling 160 ft down St Thomas’ hospital on Friday 23rd September, while taking in the glorious views of parliament, Big Ben and the rest of the Thames. We’ve all heard Grandad’s Thames Tour narration hundreds of times, but things might look a bit different from up there!
We all know times are tighter than ever, but any cash you can spare will go to the wonderful work St Thomas’ Hospital do. Many members of our family work for the NHS and things are unfortunately tougher than ever, so your money will go to a great cause! Thank you
