Support Team CLDF taking on the Great North Run and help fight childhood liver disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have always wanted to do the Great North Run and this year I am old enough, so I am really buzzing for September 10th!

I am running for Children's Liver Disease Foundation. You may not have heard of this charity or even realise that children get liver disease but sadly they do. Unfortunately there is not yet a cure so children who are unlucky enough to be born with a liver disease or develop it during childhood face a lifetime of medication, tests, hospital visits and maybe even one day a liver transplant.

I have only ever spent one afternoon in hospital and that was enough so I would like to help other young people who have to spend far too much time there.

Children's Liver Disease Foundation is a small charity which relies entirely on donations in order to:

- support children and young people with liver disease

- provide information about childhood liver disease to families and to medical staff

- fund research into causes and possible cures.

You can see more about what they do at www.childliverdisease.org.

Every penny counts so please help me reach my target and support a charity where your money will really make a difference.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
