Dear Colleague, Friend or Family!
After almost 10 months of little or no running Tom Lau, Thomas, or Tomps is back!
Yes, it's true, I hardly ran at all since June 2015, the month of my 28th birthday - where a holiday with my dad and brother had me run a time of 18:54 for a 5k distance in Riga, Lativa.
Since then I've been greatly subdued by illness.
However, the Mustard Tree charity was a huge help to me. Three months I spent, from July through to September as a volunteer for this charity. Specifically, I was given a place as a participant on their excellent FREEDOM PROJECT. This project gave me a new lease of life - more self-belief, more self-confidence, and an ability to look forward once again.
Please sponsor me to raise money and awareness of the good work Mustard Tree does, in Manchester and beyond. Please sponsor my 10K run, as I show the world, life is worth living. In fact, I urge you, CELEBRATE with me, as stand again to make the most of my life, despite being a sufferer of depression.
I have more story to share, so say hi on facebook or send a text, to hear more :)
Best Wishes,
Tom Lau
