Story
On 28th September 2021 we lost Joe to cancer after a near two year fight, aged just 34. A father of two great girls, a loving husband, a teacher at Whytemead Primary School, a member of Tuff Fitty Tri Club & international triathlete, a friend to many and quite possibly the nicest and funniest person you could meet.
In his memory I plan to fundraise for the wonderful St Barnabus House Hospice who did a fantastic job looking after him towards the end of his illness.
The plan is to cycle the South Downs Way off road trail in both directions between Winchester and Easbourne, in 24 hours, covering 200 miles (320km) with 6850m of climbing.
I will be starting and finishing at Truleigh Hill YHA, just North of Shoreham, where Joe lived.
If you can, please make a donation to spur me on, and I'd also welcome any company on training rides or for a section on the day!
I think Joe would have thoroughly approved of this idiocy.
