Whilst at university I became aware of this charity and the good work they do for young people. I was inspired to try and make a difference for young people.
Last year I did the Yorkshire 3 peak challenge a hill walking marathon with friends for the charity, this year I am running a marathon
Endeavour offers education and personal development programmes to young people aged 8-25, using the great outdoors to underpin the work that they do. They're fully AALA licensed and their specialties include abseiling, canoeing, rock climbing and caving.
£5 will provide two children with a healthy meal.
£20 will provide one child a one-hour mountain bike taster experience.
£50 will provide 20 learners a healthy lunch as part of their day in education.
£80 will provide a healthy cooking lesson for 6 children.
£120 will pay for the GSCE exam entry costs for one subject for one child.
£150 will provide a tutor for 1 day to work with children missing from education.
£440 will provide a challenging activity for 12 children.
£1500 will provide short employability course in heritage skills for 12 young people or will provide a 2 day residential experience for the children.
The Lisbon Marathon is totally self funded by myself and friends, any money I raise will go to endeavour helping young people get a better start in life. Please give what you can, even a pound will make a difference.
