Thank you Nottingham x
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this notice.
On the back of an inspirational week at the Oxford Summer School I have decided to sign up to do the Tesco Trek Kilimanjaro.
This is a massive challenge for me, but one I am really looking forward to achieving.
This will fulfil a lifelong ambition of seeing Africa combined with the amazing opportunity to support our charity of the year:
Alzheimer Scotland, and personally for me, an unforgettable way to do something in memory of my Nana who herself, suffered with dementia.
Dementia is an illness that’s very serious and not supported as well as it should be by either the government or NHS. This is my opportunity to raise awareness, give something back and to add to the already great memories of my Nana.
I am honoured to have been given this opportunity to represent my company and such a great cause.
I’m hoping I can gain your support in smashing the minimum fundraising target of £3800 which would involve help with gaining Sponsorship from every one I have ever met.
I have one concern that I have never been able to sleep in a tent but there’s no better place to overcome this than at heights of over 5,000m and temperatures between -20 and 34C.
Please support me and give as much as you can to help over 100,000 people that develop dementia every year, people like my Nana, Annie.
The trek is taking place from 23 February – 4 March 2012 and I have until December 16 to raise as much as I can. Our team doing the climb together with your support will raise over £100,000.
