Story
This year I'll be taking part in the Hackney Half Marathon in support of Crohn's & Colitis UK. For people that know me this is a charity very close to my heart.
My oldest and dearest friend Harry was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2010 and it hasn't been easy seeing how much this has affected his day-to-day life. Having been on quite a journey already, at the end of 2020 Harry was fitted with an irreversible ileostomy bag. Since then, his quality of life has dramatically improved, but the 10 years beforehand were nothing short of a rollercoaster.
Crohn's & Colitis UK are an incredible charity that offer vital support for patients and families, raising awareness and funding research for a cure - which hopefully one day will be available.
They are the UK's leading charity for Crohn's and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. I am running to support Crohn's & Colitis UK, and your donation can help Crohn's & Colitis UK's mission to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and raise awareness.
