Along side my friends and colleagues at BT, I plan to climb the 3 tallest peaks in Wales: Snowdon, Cader Idris, and Pen y Fan. This will be a gruelling challenge with over 3000m climbed, 17 miles walked, and many hours of driving in between, all completed in one day.

 
The challenge is great but the cause is greater! 

The emotional, physical and psychological cost for children experiencing tragedy, hardship and neglect is immense, making support initiatives critical. Home start is an amazing charity that supports families in the toughest of times and is a real lifeline for thousands of people across the UK. 

As a teacher, I experienced first hand the positive effects of Homestart and other initiative's work through the support provided to my students. While I have since changed careers it feels amazing to continue to support these brilliant young people and their families through Homestart.
