Story
We've completed our second Heart of London bridges walk for CRY on July 26 as part of "Team Tom II", who yet again turned out in force.
We walked in memory of our son, Tom, who died aged 14 in October 2007 from an undiagnosed heart condition - and you can still sponsor us via this page.
Did you know that 12 young people aged 14-35, like Tom, are dying each week from such conditions?
Many of those could have been saved by heart screenings - and Tom's memorial fund has already sponsored four days of free screenings at Brentford Football Club as part of CRY's TestMyHeart tour. More than 300 people were tested and 21 need following up.
It's not yet confirmed whether anybody was found to be at risk at the Brentford screenings but we do know that in the first six venues visited on the tour, 13 people were found to have undiagnosed heart conditions. Of these, four were in the most serious category requiring immediate treatment.
So 13 people have a chance - and that makes us feel that raising money to fund more free screenings in 2010 is a practical and worthwhile aim.
You can read details on Tom's memorial fund Facebook group page at:

We'd be delighted if you'd join the group!
Thank you for your support and for sponsoring us,
Claire, Paul and Ellen x
