Story
We've joined Team Porthtowan Rainbows to help raise funds organised by our friends in Cornwall, Ali and Martin Erents, where their son Joel received support from the Children's Hospice South West.
Children's Hospice South West celebrate their 30th anniversary this year. The same year that Joel would have been celebrating his 13th birthday.
Joel, from Porthtowan, died at Little Harbour hospice in 2019 after battling an incurable brain tumour. His memory lives on in the many rainbows that bless the Porthtowan skies.
On Saturday 26th June, the weekend of his birthday, Team
Porthtowan Rainbows will be completing a coast to coast from Devoran to Porthtowan. All members of Team Porthtowan Rainbows, from young to not so young, will complete it (whether running, cycling, walking…) with the aim to get together, have fun and raise money for the Children’s Hospice South West.
Children's Hospice South West support thousands of families with a seriously ill child, welcoming them throughout every step of their journey, providing a safe haven of care, support and friendship.
With your support the hospice can continue to make a difference to the lives of families in the south west.
